Early in the 20th Century, commercial fishing of the King George Whiting came to San Remo (the catch was sent to Melbourne markets via railway). In 2008 this monument was erected to commemorate the local professional fishermen who were lost at sea.
The pelicans are fed at noon, which I think is worth being here for, although it will increase the difficulty rating enormously, hence the "not available at all times" attribute.
