The shrine is a Hachimangu shrine in Nagoya City Chikusa Ward.

There was a pond that was called "Mamushigaike" around Ikeshita in a present subway.
This Shinto shrine exists near there.
It had been believed in as a patron saint in this near region since Edo period.
It reclaimed from the pond in 1921. At that time, many of people related to construction became sick. It was said the curse of the pond. Therefore, the dragon who was the water god was enshrined in the bottom on the pond.
