New series of caches....Back to Basics. When we started caching there were alot of traditional ammo boxes hidden on trails and out-of-the-way places. Nowadays the sport has evolved into alot of urban and parking lot micro caches. So this series will take some of you back to the olden days of geo-caching where you'll discover some nice trails and views that you may not have known existed.
Found this trail last summer and was waiting until spring to hide some caches here. We were alittle too late, but there is always room for another cache.
There is a well marked trail that has recently become a logging road but is still easy to walk on. Please park at trailhead but don't block the bus turn-around. Although logging vehicles have been there in the past, signs say no motor vehicles on the "trail".
You are looking for an ammo-box that is stocked well with goodies, some for kids, some for adults. You'll need to use the stairs and handrail. Make sure noone is home first.
Didn't see any posted hours. but would limit your caching to daytime hours only as there are some private houses at end of the road. There are also nocturnal wildlife in the area. I have seen a black bear on the other side of the forest about 2 1/2 yrs ago. Please cache safely.
