Jeffy Knotts Woods Traditional Cache

Following the Brathay River upstream from Ambleside a pleasant walk will take you along Bog Lane and through Jeffy Knotts Woods. Four quaint cottages show the beginning of the woods and a woodland pathway at N54 25.292 W2 59.439 will lead you to this cache. Approximately 120 paces along the path you should face West to the dry stone wall and your search begins :-)
The majority of this walk is along a small country lane until you join the woodland. A very short walk into the woodland along a clear path is accessible to walkers of all abilities. You may have to negotiate a small stream (depending upon previous days rainfall) but the cache is located high enough above the flood flow of the woodland stream.
Please ensure the cache is well hidden especially from the elements to protect it.
