Geocache Description:

A short way into the millenium walk, known locally as Squeeze Gut. You may need your wellies if you're heading to the cache at Lecale Way, Strangford.

Here's another cache on the Lecale Way. It's at the top of the village and from close to this cache there are great views over the lough to Portaferry.

The name 'Strangford' is from the Old Norse: Strangr-fjorðr meaning "strong fjord", and from this vantage point you can certainly see why. It's good to watch the ferry as it battles the currents.

The village has a small harbour, which is overlooked by rows of 19th century cottages and a fine Georgian terrace. It also has a number of restaurants. Strangford Castle, which is nearby, is a 16th century tower house.

This is a micro cache with log and pencil only. You can drive most of the way and park on the road nearby but please be careful and avoid driveways etc.

Sorry, the cache itself is not wheelchair accessible and my GPS gave me some widely varying coordinates.... The hint will take you straight there.
