Geocache Description:

A 2.5 mile stroll around some pleasant woodland which can be muddy at times

Northcliffe & Heaton Woods walk



This is a walk Archie & I do if we go for a slightly longer walk than usual from home. It is fairly easy walking but can be a bit muddy in places. There is short stretch along a road which can be a bit of a rat-run during the rush hour but is generally quiet at other times.

The hides are fairly straightforward and none are more than a few metres from the path and there are 3 other caches nearby which could be visited at the same time

There is parking at several places along the route

Stay on the upper path through the woods

If you are doing the series in a clockwise direction, walk down to the bottom of the slope and turn sharp right. Go up towards the model railway track and about 30 before you reach the building there is a path on the left up through the wood in a zig-zag direction. Follow this to the SIlver Birch
