Geocache Description:

A puzzle cache that even the geocaching traditionalists might enjoy. It requires you to pick the right path, on multiple levels, in order to find AND sign the log.

Geocachers frequently have to pick the right path in the field in order to find the cache. It is a skill filled with logic, deductive reasoning and significant luck! This is a cache that will test your ability to pick the right path in order to find the coordinates, find the cache and, finally, sign the log.

Finding the Coordinates

There is no cache at the above coordinates. In order to find this cache you will need to solve the puzzle below by picking the right path. Start at S in the top left hand corner and finish at F at the bottom right. You are looking for 15 digits that are in the correct order. You may find it easier to print the puzzle to complete it.

Find the Cache

There are multiple ways to actually get to the cache and you will have to figure out the best way for you. I would suggest you prepare for the outdoors, have good shoes and be prepared for clambering about a bit. Above all else is safety - there are no notable dangers here but please take care of yourself and be careful of the flora and fauna. I have taken my kids to this spot and they loved it, but please take care if you are taking your little ones.

The cache itself is quite large and black. It contains lots of fun for the puzzler inside us and a few things the kids should enjoy. GPS coverage may be a bit patchy due to extreme tree cover and coordinates were +/- 3m when I took them (so they could even further out for you!). Once in the right area the hint should get you home

Signing the Log

Sorry, simply finding the cache is not enough. Once there you will have to spend a little time (5 - 10 minutes maybe) finding the right path to unlock the log book. All will be obvious when you get there but please note that failure to sign the log book will result in a DNF. Please take care to put the log book etc back as it was (or should be) when you leave.

The Reward

The satisfaction of solving a puzzle, a nice walk in the bush to a beautiful spot and a smiley. There are also a number of First to Find certificates and prizes, including, First to Find, First Cacher Under 100 Finds to Find, First Cacher with 100 to 250 Finds to Find etc etc. If you fall into more than one catergory please take only one. The prizes are of the edible kind and will keep you going whilst you try and find the right path for the log book. The First to Find also has an additional prize that can be used with the kids in a form of 'wet weather inside hide and seek'.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT: Thanks to kjwx for the intro to the puzzle concept and the log book holder.
