This cache is an ammo can at the very interesting Raptor Lake. The Raptors are pretty easy to spot and are flying around all the time. But don't miss the wildlife too, this interesting lake may seem uninhabitable but there are signs of life all around. The salt crust on the ground also makes it easy to see what wildlife has passed through. I've seen tracks of coyote, rabbits, and even Oryx.
This cache should be easy to park and take a short walk to the cache.
This cache is NOT located on the Air Force Base! The property does belong to the base but it is open to the public, it used to be available for boating and camping but no longer is due to pollutants in the water. However this area is still open to bird watching and other activities that don't involve the water. Please note that it is near the base though so do not cross any fences and stay out of posted areas.
