Please be aware that there are ongoing tree felling operations being carried out in the area by Forestry England. As a result there will be phased closures in various areas of Bellever Forest that may affect access to this cache. For your safety, it is vital that you follow any signs regarding closures – even if you cannot see or hear any activity occurring.

A day without laughter is a day wasted
Ring of Laughter is a series of 11 caches (plus a Bonus) around Laughter Tor and Bellever Tor. It was created by Mike+Mary with help from Michaela, Alex and Maisie. Most of the caches date back as far as 2010 and the series was adopted by Cookie JAMM in 2024. The ring is planned as a rewarding circular walk of just under 4 miles with splendid views in all directions across the moor. The caches are numbered clockwise but it can be done either way.
There are a few potential places to park for free within half a mile or so, but the recommended starting point is Bellever Forest car park. A lovely area of shady woodland by the side of the East Dart River where you will find ample parking, toilets and several picnic spots. Parking costs £3.30 for 2 hours, £5.50 for 3 hours or £6.50 for all day, payment is by card only. The circuit will probably take 3 or 4 hours to complete, depending on stops. The Bonus can also be done as a standalone Mystery cache with some research should you fail to find all the bonus numbers, run out of time, or just not fancy doing it with the rest of the series.
