Since Janus Seamley hanged himself in his cell two weeks ago,
police have been unable to make headway in their new investigations
as to the whereabouts of Sally Ann Winters' body. The investigation
was reopened after the discovery of a picture in Seamley's cell
which purportedly gives clues to the whereabouts of Sally Ann's
body. The picture can be found in the notes entitled "Mountains
Murder Mystery # 5" on this website. Apart from the picture, four
coordinates were also found on a note laying on Seamley's cell bed.
Police have neither found Winters' body or any further clues at
these locations as to the meaning of the picture. The coordinates
listed at the head of these notes are one of those four coordinates
found on the bed. The other three coordinates can be found under
the pages listed as "Mountains Murder Mystery # 1","Mountains
Murder Mystery # 2" and "Mountains Murder Mystery #4".
Police hope that in publishing this information a member of the
public might discover something further and come forward. If you
think you are able to help, you may wish to investigate the areas
suggested by these coordinates, as the areas are no longer deemed
scenes of investigation and are once again open to the public.
If this is your intention, it is suggested you read the case
notes from "Mountains Murder Mystery #5" before you proceed.
A note from Bikerbuddy
This third location in Seamley's set of clues was a place we
both used to come to during our university days before things
turned sour between us - before Sally Ann came on the scene, that
is. We would go down to this huge rock ledge in the gully at
Springwood during Summer, with a supply of beer and dry wood. We'd
light a campfire and drink under the starlight. Those were the
days, Seamley and me, lying on the rock platform next to each
other, just staring into the vast eternity of space. Those were the
days we were closest. Before Sally Ann came along.
I can't say exactly where Seamley might have hidden his clue
here, but there was this impressive overhang he liked. On nights
when it rained we would scramble up the rocks and get into the
overhang and huddle together to keep warm. I'd suggest you search
the whole area, anyway. It's quite beautiful.
