Bakehouse Millennium Green Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs or logged into geocaching.com for some time I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Many thanks,

Old Bakehouse Millennium Green is a tranquil haven to relax in away from the bustle of the town. It is located in the centre of Morpeth off Newgate Street through the archway into Bakehouse Yard. It is a beautiful wildlife garden open to the public from dawn to dusk every day of the year. There are a variety of habitats for wildlife, including a new wildflower garden. Visitors will find plenty of seating and good wheelchair access. The Green was created and developed from a piece of derelict land, using Millennium funding, by a group of local people who are members of the charitable trust responsible for its upkeep. The Green is managed in an environmentally friendly way with the aim of attracting a variety of wildlife. Since opening in 2000 the trustees have received a number of awards, including the Green Pennant award from 2003 - 2009. In 2009 it won a gold medal for Best Conservation Project in the Northumbria in Bloom competition for the third year running.

The cache is a nano - so bring your own pen/pencil. Top tip - to get the log 'scroll' back in, roll it into the top of the cache first.
