Geocache Description:

Geocaching is 10 years old and to celebrate, the Misawa Geocachers Organization (MiGO) is hosting a special event. This will also serve as our first Meet & Greet in 2010! The weather is improving and its time to get MiGO back out, active and geocaching!
MiGO (Japan): Misawa Geocachers Organization

We will be gathering at the park near the “City Library”, across the street from the “Misawa City Office”. This event is being held in the same park as CATMCommando's "I hear that train a comin' (Reboot)" geocache.

The event will start around 1200 (noon) and go until 1500 (3pm). There will be some snacks provided, but we are asking that everyone bring their own drinks and anything you'd like to contribute. There are no grills in the park so please bring only snack items that are ready to eat! If you have never been to the park, there is a playground for children, so don't forget the kiddos!

The theme for our event is a show of support for the 10 Year events by wearing a shirt (jacket, sweater, sweatshirt etc.) that is primarily one of the colors from the Geocaching.com Logo or 10 years logos, which are Yellow, Green, Orange and Blue. If you have a shirt that is solid, as in no stripes or logos, then please wear that. This is an effort to show MiGO's support of Geocaching.com and their 10 year celebration! We hope this will make for a nice group photo (required by Geocaching for this particular event)!

There aren't many chairs so PLEASE bring a fold up chair (or blankets) if you have one and maybe an extra for those who forget!

Bring a friend! Bring lots of friends! A Geocaching event is a great way to de-muggle someone!

Here is our rough schedule of events:

1200- Sign log (and get nametag)

1215- Cache in/Trash Out (Garbage bags will be provided) and socialize

1300- Group photo (Required for the event, minimum of 10 people!)

1330- Geo-Bingo! First person to get Bingo wins a REAL Travel Bug!!

1400- Group hunt for a REAL cache!

1445- Clean up

1500- Part ways and go Geocaching! (What else would we do??)

Get this rare event icon by coming to this event!! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!! Geocaching only turns 10 once!!!!!

***This event is part of a worldwide celebration of Geocaching's first 10 years happening only on May 1st and 2nd.

A special event coin has been donated by WorldCaching.com and will be given as a prize at our event. Thank you WorldCaching.com for sponsoring our event!

Watch this event and check back here and at www.misawageocachers.org for more details as the date approaches.
