chaosmanor: Another cacher, one who we know and trust, reported that this is gone. Not surprised. Time to open the area up for someone else.

Geocache Description:

One of several caches that we hid while working on f0t0m0m's dinosaur series. All of ours are aquatic creatures of the Mesozoic era, to distinguish them from the land-based critters of the f0t0m0m series.

The Elasmosaurids hold the record for the longest neck of any known Terran animal, of any Era. Elasmosaurus platyurus had 76 cervicals; most modern mammals, including both humans and giraffes, have seven. The first Elamosaurus skeleton was found by Dr. Theophilus Turner, in Kansas; it was reconstructed and described by Edward Drinker Cope in 1868. It was this specimen which popular (but still unsubstantiated) legend claims was the start of the infamous Bone Wars between Cope and Othniel Charles Marsh.

You are looking for a medium pill bottle. We heard quail calling as we were looking for a hiding spot; maybe you will, too.

Good luck! Have fun
