On the Monaro Highway between Bombala NSW and Cann River Victoria
..... as she watched from the wooden saloon doors, Maverick Von Mettle rode up on his ingeniously clever horseless carriage, steam puttering from behind. As he was one of her best customers, she put a little wiggle into her Red Victorian Fitted Skirt and poured him a stiff Absinthe, which he claimed only to drink as a medicinal elixir....... The Victorian section of the Monaro Highway was eventually sealed between the border and Cann River in the mid eighties. Enjoy this drive as the road crosses and re-crosses the Cann River. The cache is best approached from the south, but, with care, can easily be done going south also. Vehicles are travelling at 100 klm/hr in this area, take care with geokids in crossing the road. Keep your ears and eyes open as your peer under Victoria's Skirt.
