Ketzerstein
Das Naturdenkmal Ketzerstein liegt auf einer Höhe von 610 m südlich der Gemeinde Liebenscheid-Weißenberg am nördlichen Rande des Westerwaldkreises. Er ist der sichtbare Rest eines Lavastromes. Deutlich erkennt man noch die ehemalige Säulenform, die durch horizontale Klüfte weiter zergliedert wurde. Geologisch bedeutsam ist der hohe Gehalt an magnetischem Eisen-Titan-Erz (Illmenit), der den Ausschlag einer Kompassnadel deutlich beeinflusst (Aberration).
Die groben Felsblöcke in altarähnlicher Form versucht man als heidnischen Opferaltar zu deuten
