A simple find linked to our Odyssian theme. Our first cache GC1WEN6 was hidden on Kefalonia, overlooking Polis Bay, Ithaca (home of Odysseus)You are looking for a camouflaged container. NOTE: whilst this cache is available 24/7 be aware that there is a BADGER HOLE on the middle of the track on your way to the GZ.
After many years away from home, Odysseus returned to find his home in turmoil. Men had taken up residence in his home as suitors to his wife and they would be difficult to be rid of. Of course, being a Greek tale, the gods were involved and it all turned out well but...before Penelope (Odysseus' wife) would accept that it was Odysseus who had returned she wanted to test him. She did this by claiming she'd moved their bed into the hall. Odysseus was very upset by this and exclaimed 'What craft moved this bed? I carved it out of a living tree and built the bedroom around it!' Penelope, of course, then recognised her husband and all was well. :-)
The Greeks have an Olive tree in the story but we have an Oak here. A small container with just pencil and log.
