Geocache Description:

This cache is another one in our series to celebrate 10 Years of Geocaching!

On May 2nd, 2010 we hosted a 10 Years! breakfast event in Durham Region and wanted to place ten caches at the same time as a way to give back to the sport that we enjoy so much. The caches in the series differ in difficulty, size and creativeness so we hope there will be one to appeal to all tastes. Some (but not all) of the titles may also provide you with a vague hint that may only be apparent after you find the cache. But not to worry, the Hint we have included will definitely point you in the right direction if you are feeling confused so don't read it unless you want the location spoiled for you.

This cache is an offset multi placed in one of our favourite Conservation Areas in east Durham: Hampton Conservation Area. There is a small parking lot at the entrance and the posted coordinates are for this location. The final container is large enough for a few small things.

These caches were placed in very early spring (after a mild winter) so whether they are snow friendly remains to be seen. For this particular one, we think that you should not have a problem with it at any time of year.

This multi is a great one for those who have not done a multi before or who are caching with kids. It is a straightforward loop walk that will take you around to the final and then easily back to your vehicle.

INSTRUCTIONS:
You will need to take with you some way of recording information (paper/pen or paperless device) plus the information below. At each of the stages, you will need to obtain a number which will be used to achieve the coordinates for the final stage...the cache container!

FINAL STAGE = N 43 5A.B2C W 078 3D.0EF

A = Distance of trail + Time to walk trail (from sign at STAGE 1)
B = 2 + Number on sign at STAGE 2
C = Number on sign at STAGE 3 - 3
D = 12 - Number on sign at STAGE 2
E = 2 x Time to walk trail (from sign at STAGE 1)
F = 20 - Number on sign at STAGE 3

Please return the cache to the same location and notify us if there appears to be anything amiss. We hope you enjoy the adventure!
