Heritage Trees Series #1. Old Westy is a Plains Cottonwood that has been identified by the Heritage Tree Foundation of Canada and appears in the book "Heritage Trees of Alberta" (2008).
Old Westy was planted about 1906, making it over 100 years old. Like many centarians, Old Westy wouldn't mind the occasional hug. Take a few minutes to enjoy your time with this special member of the Lethbridge community.
This cache is the second attempt at providing a cache for Old Westy. The original cache site is buried under a mass of leaves and the container may no longer be there. This new cache site has been moved about 20' from the original site and the container has been changed. Bring your own writing stick.
