Collingham Walk #2 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to my note I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to contact me about this cache please use my Email address below my signature and quote the GC number of the cache. Please note this system is not infallible and I may miss any such mail.
Many thanks,
DalesmanX

Geocache Description:

The fifth of Water Slider’s series of walks on the footpaths around the villages of north and north east Leeds.

This is a four mile circular walk around the village of Collingham on public bridleways and footpaths.

There are six caches and a bonus, if you do all six, each has information which will allow you to find the bonus cache.

Best parking is near the church, we parked at N 53° 54.570 W 001° 24.490, although there is not much parking here and it is sometimes busy, especially on a Sunday. Alternative parking is at Hastings Court N 53° 54.450 W 001° 24.715.

Please note after rain this walk can be muddy, please wear appropriate footwear.

From number 1 continue along the side of the river and in to the trees, take the path up the hill to eventually come out on the main Wetherby Road. If you haven’t yet found them there are two other caches to find around here.
When you reach the Wetherby Road turn left and after a short distance take the public footpath on the right into the wood. Follow the path up the hill.

This is a larger clip box with room for small swaps
