chasclifton: The Colorado Dept. of Transportation has rebuilt the right-of-way fences, meaning that this caches does not work so well anymore. It has had a good life, and now I am retiring it.

Geocache Description:

A small container at Mackenzie Junction, the local name for the intersection of Colorado highways 96 and 165. Ample parking on the north side of the T-junction. Container is log-only. BYOP.

Finding the cache will require a brief scramble uphill. Be careful of loose rock.

Bighorn sheep are often seen in this area, particularly in the fall and winter.

BIghorns scramble easily up the rocks.
