Shirahige shinto shrine is shrine of Shibue-village. This shinto shrine was called "Kyakujindaigongen of Kasai" in Edo period. This shinto shrine collected the worship of people of licensed quarters, water restaurant, and demimonde where Yoshiwara, Fukagawa, Senju, and etc. The name of a place of "Shibue" seems to remain in the book in 1398.

白鬚神社は渋江村の鎮守。江戸時代には「葛西の客人大権限」と呼ばれ、吉原・深川・千住などの遊郭や水茶屋や花柳界の人々の崇敬を集めたそうです。「渋江」という地名は応永元年(1398年)の『葛西御厨注文』に残っているそうです(現在は東四つ木)。
