Geocache Description:

The forest had stretched around Sumidagawa shinto shrine before. The creek started here before, and the sea. It is said, "Enokuchi" in Japanese, and it is said that it became word root of "Edo". There is torii in a changeable place in this shinto shrine though whether it is those day's are not understood.

隅田川神社周辺はかつて森が広がっていました。そして、ここから入江が始まり海となっていた事から「江の口」、即ち「江戸」の語源となったといわれています。境内には妙な所に鳥居がありますのでそちらも見ていって下さい。
