CONGRATS TO seepaulgolf FOR FTF!!!
I chose this location because of its proximity to the education center where I went to Paramedic school. The Star of Life is the most recognizable symbol representing Emergency Medical Services worldwide. In the US the symbol as it appears today was trademarked on Feb 1, 1977 under the National Highway Traffic & Safety Administration. After the expiration of the trademark in 1997, the NHTSA "gave" the logo to the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, the largest agency specializing in EMS certification. The Six points of the star represent Detection, Reporting, Response, On-Scene Care, Care During Transport, and Tranfer to Definitive Care. This logo can be found an nearly every ambulance and medical helicopter in the world. Park in the Packet's Court parking lot, not in Kingsmill. The cache is one of my new style PVC caches, please use caution when closing the cache to ensure a good seal. Small trackables should fit fine. Prize for FTF is official Nationally Registered Paramedic Glitter Patch. Happy Caching! THERE APPEARS TO BE SOME CONFUSION ABOUT WHERE TO PARK- DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT PARK IN KINGSMILL AS THEY ARE VERY PARTICULAR ABOUT WHO IS ON THEIR PROPERTY, THERE IS PLENTY OF PARKING IN PACKET"S COURT THAT IS CLOSER TO THE CACHE THAN KINGSMILL ANYWAY. WILL POST PARKING COORDINATES IF NEEDED.
