The trail head starts near the Silver Lake Park Horse Camp. The cache is about a mile up the east side of Red Mountain and goes to the top where there is noticeable logging. Terrain is a bit steep in places with a total elevation gain of about 1000 feet.
The cache was placed by 2009-2010 Wolf Cubs Pack 3006. The cache is a smaller green ammo container containing Scout stickers and patches, pencils, various small toys, squishy toys, log book, and a travel bug. Placing this cache met the requirements for the Cub Scouts "GeoCaching: Get In The Game" patch, along with the Hiking belt loop.
