Segment of PVC pipe, closed at both ends, containing log slip and pencil. Could accommodate a SMALL trade item or two, but, sorry, none there at present.
I've admired this spot, just elevated enough to provide a nice view onto the Green Canyon Road and across to the opposite side of our favorite canyon, while nestled amongst many of the "attributes" which "decorate" the canyon walls. The deer are appreciative as well, as a much frequented animal trail gives evidence. I wanted to share this place with you, and what better way than to put a cache here? Folks who just tool on by on the road miss so much, don't you think? Hey, just now there is a fragrance of the emerging wild onions. And if you get up here quickly you'll see lots of orange butterflies.
Reaching this cache will require a bit of an uphill scramble. However, do NOT climb onto exposed rocks or get yourself into precarious situations! Unfortunately, the local "features" do tend to make precise GPSr readings problematic. But accessing the cache does NOT require bouldering or risk taking.
Watch out for snakes "in season," though.
Way to go, GeolDoc, once again, for the FTF!! 'Doc doesn't let a little matter of a ten mile hike in slush and mud deter him!
