Geocache Description:

A small Lock & Lock with a log book and pencil. There is some room for small trade items.

Way back in the late 40's and early 50's, a local DJ, Rege Cordic, had a running gag commercial (apparently they did that sort of thing back then, too...) for "Olde Frothingslosh", "the pale stale ale with the foam on the bottom." The beer was supposedly brewed by Sir Reginald Frothingslosh at Upper Crudney-on-the-Thames. In 1955, in a rare instance of de-fictionalization, the Pittsburgh Brewing Company began issuing special Christmas-season cans and bottles of Olde Frothingslosh filled with real beer. I still have one in my basement that my dad bought in the 70's.

This cache memorializesthe long gone once-fake brew at is place of manufacture, the recently abandoned PBC brewery in Lawrenceville. So, with a tip of the top hat to Rege (Who was LONG before my time), Miss Olde Frothingslosh, Sir Reginald, and all the other zany characters of Pittsburgh's past, here's a toast with the foam on the bottom...

The street is marked no parking, but there is a little place to pull off to park about 100' short of GZ. This one should not be very difficult.
