Humphrey Bear (see photos) is my 4 year old son's preschool bear. He travels with a different child each week gathering stories to share during the coming week. This particular weekend, we took Humphrey up from our house into the Black Hills to see the sites and animals. We took him to Bear Country to pet some baby bears and to Reptile Gardens to pet snakes and to Mount Rushmore to see the mountain side (and the "Rock Guys") and some goats. We took lots of photos along the way and had a great weekend. On the home, we thought Humphrey was getting very tired and sleepy but when we made a quick stop at the pullout here - he jumped out. Apparently Humphrey become so impressed with the Black Hills area that he decided to run off and live in the wild. The little furry guy actually made me run up the steep hill here where I was finally able to capture him. To remember this little houdini escape attempt - we decided to plant a cache at the very spot. Please rehide with any available natural materials. Enjoy!!!
