Geocache Description:

Located in an easily accesible area, however, you must be cautious of muggles so a degree of stealth is required.

This cache is located in a little known "Historical Site' on the outskirts of Toowoomba. "Top Camp" - They Camped Here. The first settlers on the Darling Downs were the Squatters who came overland from the south.For the settlement to survive a wagon route from the coast had to be found. On October 7th 1840 Lieut.Owen Gorman and party, with former escaped convict John Baker as guide,set out from Moreton Bay to find a way. They reached here on 17th October 1840. With an Irish Jaunting Cart drawn by single bullock after blazing a trail for the first bullock wagon supply route from the coast. In Gormans wake two heavily laden bullock wagons reached here on 12th November 1840 - Gilbert Elliot and Joe Archer in charge.
