Två typer av hundar utbildades och användes på F5.
Den ena typen var vakthundar som placerades i hangarerna på nätterna. Det var riktigt ilskna bestar som fick hanteras varsamt.
Den andra sorten var bevakningshundar som användes vid patrullering på området i fredstid och krigsplacerades i vissa typer av förband för användning i krigtid.
Den vanligaste sortens hund som användes till båda uppdragen var schäfer, men även andra brukshundar kunde ibland användas.
The Dogkennels
Two types of dogs were trained and used in F5.
One typ were watchdogs, which were placed in the hangars during nights. They where nasty beasts and were handled with big cautiousness.
The other typ were guarddogs. They where used for patrolduty in peacetime and should be used even in wartime.
The most common type of dogs were German shepherd, but also other types of dog were used
