From 'ground-zero' you can enjoy the view to Mount Everest and Lhotse. Take 10 steps and enjoy a view to Tengboche monastery. Absolutely awesome place!
Small country requires active people. I'm honoured to establish an Estonian cache amongst this breathtaking Himalayan scenery. Take it as a token of gratitude from my small (yet beautiful) country. Reaching 'Tengboche treasure' is not a 'walk in a park'. First you have to get to Kathmandu. After that you have two options - fly to Lukla or walk to Lukla. Flight takes 30 minutes, walk takes 7 days. At least. From Lukla you must walk another 3-4 days. Uphill. Never easy. Cache is located about 3900m above sea level. I started to have very annoying headache at that altitude. If you have finally made it to 'ground-zero', then you have the privilege to look at Mount Everest. With your own eyes. Just you and the mountain. It's only 22km-s away. What a moment. I will never forget it. While in Tengboche, make sure to visit the morning ceremony in monastery. It starts about 6am. 30+ monks making special 'sound'.
