These coords will take you to the trail head. From here you
will need to follow the fire tacks. WHITE in RED out.
If you are doing this by day you will still need to use the white
fire-tacks in.
Philippe has run away from home & is hiding from his long
time mate, Phyllis.
It seems that Phyllis has “hen pecked” her mate for
so many years that he has decided to “fly the coop”.
During the 2009-2010 migration, Philippe made a “pit
stop” at CBEC and had an enlightening conversation with The
Great Newt concerning the fine art of camouflage. The Great Newt
discussed with Philippe how color adaptation to current
surroundings could protect one from dangerous predators and how
certain changes in diet might help one achieve such a goal. After
some meditation (and a snack of blue crabs & oysters), Philippe
has decided to forgo his favorite diet of mussels & is
switching to some of the local crustacean cuisine in an attempt to
blend in with the local scenery.
With his new found peace, Philippe has also found loneliness and
is now considering entertaining some local visitors. For his debut,
you are invited to his marshy nest during the CBEC sleepover event
on Apr. 17th. ( For this date only, he will be offered as a night
cache). The listed co-ords will take you to the trail head. Follow
the white fire tacks in & the red fire tacks out. DO NOT
deviate from the trail as we will not be responsible for any
corpses lost near the marsh! Skeletal remains could possibly be
lost forever!
Philippe's only request is that Phyllis never learns of his
location. So to help him keep his secret, even in the daylight
hours, you will need to follow the white fire tacks, at least to
get to his hide. Going out you can choose your own fate. So you are
welcome to visit, but please be discreet.
CBEC is open from 9-5 daily except major holidays. There is a $5
entrance fee. Sorry, but there are no pets allowed.
