Further Up and Further In Traditional Cache
Further Up and Further In
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
You might need boots and there might be tall weeds and thorns, depending on the time of year. Be very cautious during hunting season, including bow season.
This cache is located on private property with permission from the property owner. There are 2 other caches on this same logging road. Park on the shoulder of Comet Road where the logging road begins, DO NOT BLOCK THE OWNER'S ACCESS AND DO NOT DRIVE IN.
In the wet season (spring melt, heavy rain) you might want boots for crossing the stream, although I usually manage to rock-hop with sneakers. A walking stick might be helpful. Your hike in will be about 1/3 mile from Comet Road, mainly on the logging road . Any other access will require trespassing. (Sage Road may look closer but not only will you be trespassing on Beagle Club property but you will encounter some very high fences.)
Please re-hid the cache as you find it, or as close as possible. NO OBVIOUS GEO-PILES. This cache may be easier or more difficult, depending on how experienced the cacher is.
I wonder if anyone knows the name of the book that the cache title comes from (without help from goggle)? E-mail me if you do. I'll add details eventually, including a stone table connection :>)
