FBIC Browse Line Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

-allenite-: As there's been no response from the cache owner to my previous note, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

The cache is placed on private property by permission. Park at the gate across the road from the cache. It should be an easy find.

The Forest Biomass Innovation Center is a research station operated by Michigan State University. Formerly, the UP Tree Improvement Center, the new name reflects its current focus on finding and improving species suitable for biomass production in northern climates.

You should have noted the tall fencing around the field opposite the cache. Without the fencing, deer would devastate the young plants, just as they've browsed the cedars. Of course, they did make a perfect avenue leading you right to the cache. In a year or so, the cedars will have grown together above the “path” so very little direct sunlight will be able to penetrate.

The container is a large pill bottle containing a log book and room only for a few small trinkets.
