Geocache Description:

Cache is a 1L 'lock & lock' box hidden off the track but depending on your approach, may require a little scramble up a bank to get it.

This cache has been placed along one of our favourite walks in one of the lesser known forests / areas, Lowther Forest. We walk here frequently with kids & dogs and it has some stunning views across the fells.

This cache can be reached by both a short & long walk. For the short walk, park on the Cold Fell road and enter the forest. You can walk clockwise / anti-clockwise to have a 40 min / 20 min walk. For the longer walk, park at the car park at the coordinates below - this route will take approx 1.5 hours.

It is called 'In Plane Sight' as quite often, low flying aircraft can be seen flying through the valley at a height equal / lower to the path you are on.
