A small cache on the old A7.
Like its sister cache 'Bye highway hi byway' this is on the old A7, although this part was by-passed about 20 years ago. You can see that part of the road has fallen into the river - and even if you think you can drive through, please don't, as the road structure is no longer up to regular vehicles, and the gate at the north end is usually locked anyway. There are some waymarked walks from the old road, and it is worth allowing an hour or so to explore them. There used to be a mine up in the woods, but most of the evidence has now vanished with the planting and general plant growth.
