We were walking past this place with the Whangaruru Trampers en route to the Capitaine Bougainville memorial and decided to put down a memorial of our own. This commemorates our meeting here 40 years ago while camping in the paddock (now with buildings) across the road. DONT GO TO THE COORDINATES unless you plan a swim. The cache is a green and camoed 400ml snap-lock container with the usual logbook, pencil, a few trades and a 'peace and love' TB
