Five Rivers is the centre of a small farming and grazing
district.
It is situated approx 13kms north of Lumsden and 90kms south of
Queenstown.
The name Five Rivers comes from the five rivers which run through
the district.
These rivers are the Acton, Oswald, Dilston, Cromel and the
Irthing.
All are popular with anglers for brown trout.
