Where the Blue Angels fly low is a tribute to those who enrich our lives. Almost every late September / early October the Blue Angles flying team comes to San Diego’s Miramar Air Show. These pilots, many of whom were Boy Scouts, fly low over a little know park in San Diego’s University City- Florey Park. They fly so low at one point – you can see the faces of the pilots! This is a great park to play with the kids, run the dog, or just layout and enjoy nature.
When the pilots of these jets get ready to fly, they go through their checklist to make sure they and their plane will be ready for the flight and any emergency that might arise. In Boy Scouts, we also go over checklists- for camping/ hiking/ other community projects- and always the motto is Be Prepared!
Boy Scouts carry with them what we call the “10 essentials”. What are the 10 essentials? Well, 1st of all, it may not be 10 items- it could be 10, 15, 20, or more items the scout feels is necessary to carry on that particular trip. This cache contains items one might think are essential: maybe not for a Boy Scout but for someone.
We are starting this cache off with:

and many other “essentials”
