Wisconsin History Quest - Hazelwood Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

The Happy Hodag!: I just checked and this cache is once again MIA. As much as I want this cache to continue, the continuous flooding has laid claim to it. It's run it course, now it's history.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Wisconsin History Quest. This cache is the first installment, and we begin right where it all began for the state, historic Hazelwood House. The listed coordinates will bring you a spot on the Fox River Trail, about halfway in between two signs commemorating the beginnings of statehood for Wisconsin and the man who started it all, Morgan L. Martin.

The final cache will be found at N 44 AA.CDE W 088 0B.BBB

AA will be the number of years Morgan’s youngest daughter was the librarian at the Kellogg Library.

Wisconsin finally gained statehood in what year? Take that year and subract 620 to arrive at B.BBB

Morgan was born in the year 18C5

When Morgan returned to serve on the Wisconsin Territorial Council, the year was 183D

The original constitution was submitted to, and rejected by, convention in 184E

From the two signs, you will find all the info you need to find the final, which is a camoed pill bottle. You will need to provide your own writing stick for this one.

Congrats to Carron55 on the FTF!
