The Watch the Birdie! Series is based on the temporary locations where those gallant people strive, rain or shine, day and night, to make our roads that little bit safer.
There is roadside parking for several cars here.
I suggest, however, that you park at the east end of the bridge where the parking area is widest.
Update (11 Oct 2025):
It would appear that this cache may not be as easy to access as we have believed it to be this past 15.5 years since it was laid.
So, if you feel uneasy about parking where the Police park when they are Speed Trapping, you can approach the cache from underneath the bridge.
IMPORTANT:
If you look at the map before approaching the cache, you will see that you need to come up the bank on the north side of the bridge. Otherwise, if coming up the south bank, you will need to cross the main road; which might be considered dangerous by some.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Just to be clear, if you have one, it would be unwise to try to approach this cache on a horse from underneath the bridge via either bank. (Apologies for stating what may appear to be ID10T instructions to experienced horse riders.)
ULTIMATELY:
You do not have to hunt for a cache just because it is shown on your map. So, if you believe that Tree Climb caches, Boat / Water caches, caches that require your crossing a main road, etc, are too dangerous, you do not have to look for them.
Of course, if this leaves a bothersome unfound cache icon on your map then you can simply add it to your Ignore List and it will then be gone from view.
Simples!
Happy Hunting.
