Dogs are permitted on these trails from spring to fall as indicated on the posted NCC signs.
Quite often when walking through the forests we can see remnants of days gone by i.e. old stone fences, rail fences, foundations, pottery, discarded automobiles, etc. One thing I am always on the lookout for is old roadways. If you look closely you can often see what was once a roadway as evidenced by a regular parting of the trees.
This cache is located nearby one of those long lost roads. Once you log this cache, feel free to follow the roadway deeper into the forest to other caches and try to imagine when that roadway was in use and who and what travelled over it.
