Located at the site of the ruins of the Salt Lake Church and Public School
The Salt Lake Wesleyan Church was opened in April 1874 and its final mass was in the year of 1906,the church was then used by the Methodist until it finally closed its doors in 1951.
There was another building on the site that was leased to the Department of Education, firstly as the Hundred of Cameron School that opperated between 1884 to 1895 and then by the Salt Lake School that opperated between 1914 to 1945 at which time all classes were moved to the Snowtown Area School.My Grandmother on my mothers side first taught at the Salt Lake school in 1918.
There is the Salt Lake cemetery which is located west of this site if you have a bit of spare time on your hands.
