The Iowa DNR and staff at
Lake Wapello, the Wapello County and Surrounding Area Geocaching
Organization, AKA WACkOSAGO would like to invite you to Lake
Wapello for a day of non-competitive caching and friendship. The
posted coordinates will lead you to the restaurant where you will
register and have the caches loaded to your GPS. Please bring your
cables. Registration will make you eligible for prize drawings
later in the day.
This building is handicap accessible and
will be open all day as an event headquarters and the only meal
available will be lunch.
8:30am Registration & cache loading
11:30am - 1:00pm Lunch at the restaurant 3:30pm Prize drawings at
the restaurant. Prizes are for anyone 12 and
up.
Lake Wapello features 80 campsites, 42 with
electricity and 14 cabins. Both cabins and campsites may be
reserved by going to reserve
Iowa
We plan to have well over 100 temp's , a
logger cache, and 12 new permanent caches (maybe even an Earth
Cache). There are 150+ caches in the Ottumwa / Wapello County area.
Due to the success of the kids "Treasure Trail" it will be back
this year atleast 50% bigger than last year. We are also planning 2
night caches and (5 other night only caches that you will have to
find without being given the starting point or coord's.) This could
get real interesting. Hope it goes well for
you.

and Dark Chocolate. Sizes available are youth small up to 6XL. Cost
is $15.00 per shirt. We need to pre order so we can hand them out
