"Life isn’t measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away." - Anon
Dedicated to all those biking cachers out there. I call this one Breathe. There are so many good songs and poems about breathing. The Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh writes, "Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts."
When I come to this place, I usually have to stop my bike to Breathe. It is at the top of a significant climb on the Custis Bike trail along Route 66. Having conquered this climb, one can stop for a nice rest in a little pocket park, on a nice bench.Drink some water, and get ready to head off to the Bridge to Nowhere.
This is part of a series of caches placed along the Custis and W&OD trails. Connect up with the GW Parkway trail along the river, and you can do an excellent circumnavigation of Arlington hitting many wonderful caches. Arlington County (Bike Arlington) is a great supporter of biking, with more than one hundred miles of multi-use trails, on-street bike lanes, and designated bike routes. It has a great bike-to-work day festival and a good bike map.

Please note that this can be a highly active bike path; be careful. A little GPS bounce here. Please return as hidden. Please note park hours: "Sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset except on lighted facilities."
