This is one of a series of caches that make up a 5 mile circular walk around the outskirts of Branston village. The route follows public footpaths, bridleways and a 0.8mile walk along a fairly busy B road (there are wide verges to walk along). Please keep dogs on leads and children under supervision along the road. There are also a couple of deep water lakes so please be vigilant with young children.
Each cache can be done as a stand alone cache or as part of a circular walk. There are NO clues or numbers to collect. For those who are intending to walk the route as a circular, there is a suggested parking area down Hall Lane for one or two cars. (N53 11.469 W000 28.620) Please be respectful of drive ways and field gates.
As our walk is close to Branston village (well known for growing potatoes), all our caches are named after varieties of potatoes grown in the UK.
Pink Fir Apples can be used for boiling and salads. It is a speciality salad variety, and is very long and red in colour.
You are looking for a screw top container containing a log sheet and pencil. There is room for a few swaps. Please bring your own pencil just in case.
