Geocache Description:

Cache is a magnetic key holder, and contains a log sheet only, so BYOP. It's the first of what I hope will be a series of geologically oriented caches. You can drive to the cache.

If you look to the east, you can see that the rock layers dip toward you. If you look to the west, you can see that the rock layers also dip toward you. You're standing at the center of the Logan Peak syncline, a fold in the rocks that make up the Bear River Range that formed some 65 million years ago.
If you stand on the bridge and look at the slope across the road, you should also be able to make a hypothesis about how stable the slope is. (See the attached photo)

There is parking available across the bridge or on the north side of the road.
