Zapraszamy na poszukiwanie pierwszego multicache'a w Rydultowach. Glówna jego atrakcja jest rydultowski tunel kolejowy. Aby jednak odnalezc ten cache w okolicach 727-metrowego tunelu, trzeba najpierw odwiedzic dwa inne historyczne miejsca.

Jednym z nich jest historyczny szyb kopalniany Erbreich. (N 50°04.779 E 018° 24.945)
Tutaj trzeba znalezc liczbe znajdujaca sie na tabliczce z uwaga przy wjezdzie na teren kopalniany. (A)

Drugim miejscem jest obelisk ku czci powstanca slaskiego Jerzego Dembczyka. (N 50°04.628 E 018° 25.025)
Tutaj trzeba odczytac date kiedy on polegl, wazny jest dzien miesiaca. (B)

W jakiej kolejnosci te dwa miejsca zostana odwiedzone, jest obojetne.
Aby uzyskac wspólrzedne skrzynki trzeba policzyc:
XXX = A*B*7/3
YYY = 14*A/3 + 3*B/2
Cache znajduje sie w miejscu o wspólrzednych N 50°04.XXX E 018° 25.YYY.

Aby odnalezc skrzynke nie trzeba chodzic po torach albo wchodzic do tunelu, wiec prosze tego nie robic, bo jest to niebezpieczne!
Niektóre sciezki, które o innych porach roku sa bez problemu dostepne, moga byc latem wysoko zarosniete trawami i chwastami. W tym okresie wysokiej wegetacji trudnosc terenu jest wiec wyzsza niz podana.
Po znalezeniu cache'a prosimy go znowu dobrze schowac, a logbook i dlugopis zostawic w srodku.


Ciekawostki na temat tunelu:
Budowe tunelu na trasie Rybnik - Racibórz, prowadzona przez spólke Wilhelmsbahn, ukonczono w roku 1856. Jest on najstarszym tunelem kolejowym w Polsce i najdluzszym w Województwie Slaskim.
W roku 1939 Polska Armia umiescila 5 wagonów dynamitu na drugim torze tunelu kolejowego, dokladnie pod droga Racibórz - Rybnik. 1-go wrzesnia wysadzila tunel w powietrze, aby zablokowac ruch wojsk niemieckich. Dwa czteropietrowe budynki mieszkalne nad tunelem ulegly wtedy zniszczeniu, ale na drodze powstala jedynie szczelina o dlugosci 2 metrów.
W roku 1942 tunel zostal na nowo otwarty, 130-metrowy zawalony odcinek ma od tego czasu konstrukcje zelbetowa. W roku 1989 trasa kolejowa przez tunel zostala zelektryfikowana.

Ciekawostki na temat szybu Erbreich:
Szyb powstal w roku 1851-1853 i otrzymal nazwe ówczesnego królewskiego starszego radcy górniczego. Poczatkowa jego glebokosc wynosila 92 metry, ale pozniej zostal poglebiony. Obecnie sluzy on jako szyb wentylacyjny dla Kopalni Wegla Kamiennego Rydultowy-Anna.

Ciekawostki na temat obelisku:
Obelisk zostal wzniesiony ku czci Jerzego Dembczyka, który polegl w pierwszym Powstaniu Slaskim w roku 1919.

We invite you to look for the first mutlicache in Rydultowy. Its main attraction is the Rydultowy railway tunnel. But to find the cache in the surroundings of this 727 metres long tunnel, you have to visit two other historic places.

One of them is the historic mineshaft Erbreich. (N 50°04.779 E 018° 24.945)
Here you have to find the number written on the attention-sign (uwaga) near the entrance to the mine area. (A)

The other station is a obelisk commemorating a Silesian insurgent Jerzy Dembczyk. (N 50°04.628 E 018° 25.025)
Here you have to read the date he was killed in action, you need the day of the month. (B)

It does not matter in which order you visit these two places.
To get now the coordinates of the cache calculate:
XXX = A*B*7/3
YYY = 14*A/3 + 3*B/2
The cache is located at N 50°04.XXX E 018° 25.YYY.

It is not neccessary to walk on the railway track or to enter the tunnel, so please do not do that, because this is dangerous!
During summer some of the paths, which are easily accessible during the rest of the year, may be overgrown with grasses and pest plants. So during this period of high vegetation the terrain rating is higher than stated.
After you have found the cache, please hide it well again and leave the logbook and the pen in the cache.


Some interesting facts about the tunnel:
The construction of the tunnel by the Wilhelmsbahn company on the Rybnik - Raciborz line was completed in 1856. It is the oldest railway tunnel in Poland and the longest in the Silesian voivodeship.
In the year 1938 the Polish army placed 5 freight cars with dynamite in the tunnel exactly under the road Raciborz - Rybnik. On september 1st they blow the tunnel up to block the invasion of the German army. Two four-storeyed buildings on the tunnel where destroyed, on the road only a two metres long cleft appeared.
In the year 1942 the tunnel was opened again, on the 130 destroyed metres there is a ferroconcrete construction today. In 1989 the line was electrified.

Some interesting facts about the mineshaft:
The mineshaft was built in 1851-1853 and was named after the then royal elder mining legal counsel. The depth in the beginning was 92m, but the shaft was later deepend. Today it serves as an air shaft for the coal mine Rydultowy-Anna.

Some interesting facts about the obelisk:
The obelisk was built in the honour to the Silesian insurgent Jerzy Dembczyk, who was killed in action in the first Silesian Uprisings in 1919.
