Until further notice, you must have 2000 finds to log a find for this cache. I may change the requirements down the road, but for now, 2000 is necessary.
Since I started geocaching, I have met a number of new people, both on the trail and at organized events. This cache focuses on three of those people: Scottberks, KU Jayhawk and Wheels00.
These three geocachers are all approaching 2000 finds. As I am writing this, Scott has 1753, KU 1663 and Wheels 1631. While Scott has a 90 cache lead on KU, it should be noted that KU started caching in November 2008 while Scott joined in July 2008. Also, Scott had a day where he found 100 caches (there is a cache dedicated to that particular event hidden by eyeseeit). I am sure if you projected when they will hit 2000, the dates would be pretty close for all three.
All three of these guys not only pile up the finds but they also give back to the caching community. They have placed dozens of caches, attend events regularly and are very active FTF hounds to keep everyone else on their toes.
So this cache will serve as the finish line for the 2000 find mark for these guys.
This cache IS at the posted coordinates. You must have 2000 to post a find. So if you do have 2000 finds, then go ahead and get the FTF and then sit back and watch to see who logs in first among the three noted guys above.
