The streams that feed into the
Chilliwack River from it's beginnings at the outflow of Chilliwack
Lake until it enters into the Mighty Fraser, are as varied as the
landscapes that make up the Chilliwack River Valley
itself.
This cache will take you to the
Confluence of Chipmunk Creek and the Chilliwack River. Unlike most
spots along these creeks and rivers this one is without the garbage
left behind by thoughtless users of the land.

When the cache was placed the waters
were crystal clear and flowing fairly strongly with the added water
from the start of melting snow in the higher elevations, the water
is cold, clean and home to several species of Trout in this part of
the Chilliwack River. There is no fishing allowed between the fish
hatchery and Chilliwack Lake so don't bring your rod to this
location, instead bring a picnic lunch and plan to spend some time
enjoying the tranquility and beauty of this spot.
