Mary S. Young State Park is owned by Oregon State Parks, but operated through a cooperative agreement with the City of West Linn. Located between Highway 43 and the Willamette River, Mary S. Young is a fantastic park with ~8 miles of hiking and biking trails, a large open leash-free dog area, soccer fields, and several nice beaches along the river.
The trails are fairly simple, but if you're interested, the City of West Linn provides several options for trail maps. If you stick with the main loop and visit all of my caches in the park, you should enjoy a nice ~3 mile hike.
This cache is along the main Heron Creek Loop Trail. To make it easy on you, I placed the cache before the steep drop-off and climb on the other side of the nearby ravine. This park is home to trillium of all shapes and colors. I highly recommend a visit in March and April in order to see them in all their spring splendor.
